Travelling experiences

Hey -  I have just come back from a week in Orlando Florida at ATIA 2012, an assistive technology conference showcasing technology that helps people with disabilities.  During this week, my company was launching the new Lightwriter Swift communication device that is a small device that allows you to type in text and it reads it out for you.
I was delighted that over 200 people showed an interest at the meeting, but I was even more delighted with the fun had once the meeting was over.
If you are ever in Orlando, you must look up Boggy Creek Air Boats.  They do these airboat tours that whisk you away over a gigantic lake which is full of alligators, snakes, turtles, birds and many other rich examples of wildlife.  I felt really fortunate to be able to be in a position to be able to visit and see a different side to the Orlando area which is really a concrete jungle of hotels and amusement parks.
I was really pleased with sharing this time with some great people in my team who are dedicated to getting the message out about our products to people who need them.  It was a great opportunity to get to know them better, to work hard with them and to play hard with them.
On our last night we all headed to BB Kings Blues Club on International Drive and watch the BB Kings All Star Band play until the early hours.  I was in heaven!
I would love to be able to play in a club like that and have the fun that these guys seem to be having.  Hopefully one day I will get my Blues Band together and be able to do something about that.  What do you think about the name 'The Bluetones'.  A working title that needs developing!

Well thanks for taking a look, my next travelling experience is going to be in Edinburgh!
